With only 1% of the Japanese population professing an adherence to Christianity, churches in Japan are few and far between. Many of those saved through the Rex Humbard television show have no opportunity to attend church or fellowship with other believers. Some may have a church nearby but are unable to attend because of pressure from Buddhist or Shintoist family members. Each day, John and his staff receive approximately 100 letters and phone calls from Japanese Christians as well as seekers of the way of Christianity throughout the nation.
